Illustration, Print Production
Illustrations for editorial design with content by Ellen Lupton and Jennifer Cole Phillips from their Skillshare workshop on Graphic Design Basics: Core Principles for Visual Design and their book Graphic Design The New Basics published by Princeton Architectural Press and Maryland Institute College of Art.

This project subject was all sparked by a simple craving… a sandwich.
-
Sandwiches are a great example that ANY mundane object can be made to be an interesting subject matter simply thanks to the art of illustration. Much like design, sandwiches have the ability to evolve and offer an array of new layers only limited by our imagination.
-
The process of the book development started out with layout planning. The illustrations were the first development based on what topics fit best with the content from the skillshare workshop and Graphic Design the New Basics book. After deciding which illustrations were going to be used for each page, the content was then altered to match the imagery.
